Global energy network

World Energy Council Netherlands (WEC NL) promotes sustainable energy development and devises solutions for energy issues in our country. To achieve this, we bring together government, NGOs, industry, consumers, and academia. And you can contribute to this global energy transition.

We are part of the World Energy Council (WEC): the oldest independent and impartial energy network globally. For a century, WEC has been the largest energy community. It spans around one hundred countries, with members from business, academia, associations, and professionals in the energy sector.

World Energy Congress

In April, WEC Netherlands hosted the 26th World Energy Congress. In Rotterdam, we welcomed 8,500 participants. Over four days, we discussed regional opportunities to redesign energy supply for better quality of life and a healthy planet.
